يعيد مشروع إحياء مكتب بريد مغاغة تخيّل أحد المعالم البريدية التاريخية في مصر بوصفه جسرًا بين التراث والحداثة. بعد سنوات من الإهمال، استعادت واجهته بريقها لتصبح رمزًا للصمود والاستمرارية. يرتكز التصميم على مفهوم «الاستمرارية من خلال التباين»، حيث حُفظ القلب التراثي وأضيفت عناصر خفيفة وشفافة من الزجاج والحجر. يربط جسر زجاجي بين الماضي والمستقبل، جامعًا بين الأصالة والحداثة. القاعة الرئيسية تبقى القلب النابض محاطة بمساحات مرنة. يقود مسار الحركة الزوار في رحلة متسلسلة بين القديم والجديد. وتُشجع الأفنية المظللة التفاعل والمشاركة. يجمع المشروع بين الحفاظ والتجديد، ليمنح المبنى حياة جديدة. اليوم، يقف مكتب بريد مغاغة كحوار حي بين الناس والتاريخ والتطور.
THE REBIRTH OF MAGHAGHA POST OFFICE
The Maghagha Post Office Revitalization Project reimagines one of Egypt’s historic postal landmarks as a bridge between heritage and modernity. Once neglected, the building’s aged red bricks now stand restored as symbols of resilience and continuity. The design follows the concept of “continuity through contrast,” preserving the historic core while introducing light, transparent additions of glass, metal, and limestone. A glass bridge links past and future, connecting restored heritage with modern functions. The main hall remains the civic heart, surrounded by flexible spaces for exhibitions and community use. Circulation guides visitors through a narrative journey between eras. Courtyards and shaded zones encourage interaction and engagement. The project balances preservation and innovation, giving new life to a place of memory. The Maghagha Post Office now stands as a living dialogue between people, history, and progress.
